Field of Sunflowers Earrings

Description

Sunflowers are a symbol of healing and unconditional love. They are tall, strong and vibrant flowers. I was originally inspired to create my first sunflower design because of a trip to Coppal House Farm’s annual sunflower festival and they have been popular ever since. I now have created over 45 unique sunflower designs and continue to come up with new ones every season.

There are a few designs that have a limited run, this is one of them. There will only ever be 3 pairs made.

These handmade sunflower earrings are laser cut out of Baltic birch. They are wood burned and hand painted with yellow and green watercolors, protected with a lacquer seal. The six small sunflowers are a second layer, giving them a 3D relief look. These are large statement earrings but are lightweight because the birch is very light. Hooks are 100% sterling silver .032″ (22 gauge) wire and come with clear backings.

All designs start as sketches in my notebook. They are custom made in Illustrator and laser cut/engraved into sheets of bamboo or Baltic birch. After, each piece is hand painted with watercolors and sealed with a protective clear gloss lacquer. 100% Sterling silver hooks with clear backings.
