An artist explores the world one place at a time.
This is my least favorite part.
The introduction. Something so easy in person, but so difficult in the blogging community.
Who am I really? And how can I wrap it up all in unique but nice paper and make it look good?
Well this is me.
I am a twenty-something artist trying to quench the crazy thirst of a quarter-life crisis. I did what I was supposed to. I did well in high school, went to a good college, got a job in my field only 3 months after graduating, started renting my own 3 bedroom house and looking to fill the next page of starting a family. I had done everything “by the book” of a typical “American Dream”, but I was miserable. My cubicle felt like a jail cell and every minute wasted in it I felt closer to dying unsatisfied.
My adventurous, Sagittarius, wild-fire soul wanted more- so much more! So I started planning, working extra shifts, picking up a second night-time/weekend job, penny pinching, selling all unnecessary possessions and in any spare time researching what my life could be. Scouring blogs, travel websites, and facebook groups drooling over other people’s lives. I knew this hunger and thirst for something more could only be quenched by going for it. Dive in head first, because really what is the worst that could happen?
I have a tattoo on my right arm that says “no regrets” and it was time I really started pushing and redefining what that
meant to me. So December 2014 I quit my job and left
for my next big adventure. I can never describe in words how I felt other then just saying I felt free. I felt so free for the first time in a long time.
The world is full of possibilities. You have so many options of what you can make and do with this one precious life you’re given. For me I couldn’t be happier with the choices I’ve made. And yes, I’m still exploring the world one step at a time, whether it’s my art, travel, family, friends, hobbies, etc, I’m taking every chance I can to live my life to the fullest.
If you want to join me on this adventure please follow along and show your support. I always love to hear from anyone who is reading my blog or looking at my artwork.
One last word of advice: Live the life you dream of,
because anything is possible with the
right determination, work, and attitude.
