This Thanksgiving

will be different, and difficult being so far away from family. I’m used to having a long table decorated with food and creative name tags and full of funny and interesting people to share it with. I grew up with a small family as an only child but a big family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins to share the holidays with. A lot has changed since then, and as the years go by its increasingly difficult to be so far away from  my family and still be included in the holidays. This is the downside of being adventurous and living away from family and childhood friends. That doesn’t mean I’m not thankful, in fact, I have quite a lot to be thankful for.

Life is a Journey

and even though this part of the journey is different and therefore a little more difficult to handle doesn’t mean that this trip is bad.

I’m thankful that traveling has made me wonderful new friends, real friends that feel the same way I do about a lot of issues. Cory and I were invited to a Thanksgiving celebration with friends and it was a wonderful gathering full of great food and  a lot of laughter. I had a blast and I’m so thankful to be included.

I’m thankful for all the amazing new places I’ve gotten to see.

I’m thankful that I took the time, energy and effort to get to where I am and to feel like I’m really living my dream. Though people may not understand I’m proud of what I have accomplished this year. This blog, my art and my Youtube channel are all doing well and I’m finding happiness doing something I love.

I’m thankful that although they are not near I have not only my two amazing parents that raised me but I’ve gained wonderful in-laws who are all loving and supportive.

I’m thankful that I soon will be home in NH to spend time with those I’ve missed, including my three fur-balls.

I’m thankful for a loving and supportive husband who has been there for me through any ups and downs of the traveling road.

It has been an interesting year and I’m thankful and excited that I’ve gotten to live it and I’m thankful I have the next year to look forward too as well.

Live, Love and Travel On.
